Life in the U.S. Series

Life in the U.S. is an ongoing series of transition and academic support workshops infused with friendship, fun, and humor to keep students engaged.

Participants will:

  • Meet other students to develop new friendships and strengthen connections with one another
  • Meet other student leaders and KU staff members
  • Increase their comfort level at KU and their identification with the University because of these connections
  • Learn about a variety of topics regarding academic life that will help them to have a successful start at KU

The workshops for spring 2019 are:

  • January 31: Time Management (Kansas Union, Malott Room)
  • February 21: Traveling from Lawrence (Kansas Union, Alderson Auditorium)
  • March 21: Sports in the U.S. (Kansas Union, Malott Room)
  • April 25: Meditation and Self Care (Kansas Union, Malott Room)
