Summer Insurance - No Enrollment, but Active Appointment

An eligible appointment is at least a 50% appointment for a minimum of four consecutive weeks in summer or eight consecutive weeks in fall or spring. If you wish to request insurance for your dependent(s) you should submit an early activation request. 

Students NOT Enrolled in Summer KU Classes with an Eligible Appointment 

• Step 1: Apply to UHCSR between April 20 – June 1, 2026. 
• Step 2: Appointment must be keyed in the HR Pay database; ISS verifies. 
• Step 3: UHCSR sends payment links for $222. Coverage activates after payment. 
• Step 4: UHCSR sends confirmation.
