How does it work?

  • Global Partners brings together American and International members of the KU community. You have the opportunity to form a partnership with a Jayhawk from a different country or culture, but you don't have to. You're also welcome to just attend the Global Partners events and participate with the group.
  • At our meet-ups we will do a number of "getting-to-know-you" activities that give you the opportunity to grow your partnership. Whether you take the partnership outside of our Meet-Ups is up to you and your partner.
  • Global Partners sponsors events outside of our Meet-Ups that participants are encouraged to attend, such as bowling, laser tag, potlucks etc. to grow your partnership, or just to have fun as a group.

How do I get GAP (Global Awareness Program) credit?

  • In order to receive GAP credit you must attend 20 hours of Global Partners events and activities throughout one semester. When you sign up for Global Partners on Rock Chalk Central, you will receive the list of activities for that semester. At each activity you will need to get a signature on your activity list from the Global Partners Staff Advisor or from an executive board member.
