Yasmin Badawi

Front Desk Assistant
Primary office:
785-864-3617

What does she do at ISS?

Yasmin greets and welcomes international students to the ISS office, assists ISS staff, answers telephone calls, and schedules appointments for the international student advisors. Her responsibilities include copying/scanning files and immigration documents, creating/updating Word documents/Excel spreadsheets and responding to questions from our international students.

Who is Yasmin?

Yasmin is a graduate student in the School of Architecture. She came to Kansas five years ago from Saudi Arabia. She is Egyptian and speaks fluent Arabic, which is very helpful in the office! English is her first language, however, and she also speaks a bit of French. Yasmin began working at the ISS office in October 2014 and really likes interacting with the students to help them feel comfortable ….with a goal of getting them accustomed to life at KU!

Personal Fun Fact

Yasmin tried snowboarding for the first time in Switzerland….and it was a very harrowing experience. Ask her about it!
