On Campus

The KU Department of Student Housing offers a variety of convenient living arrangements, including Residence halls, Scholarship halls, private room with bath, suite with semi-private bath and on-campus apartments. On campus housing gets full pretty quickly as a lot of domestic as well as international students choose to live on campus. Apply as early as possible for the best chance to get on campus housing. Off Campus

KU does not provide or help you find an off campus housing option, if you choose to live off campus, it is your responsibility to find housing. When searching for off-campus housing, you may look for a room, studio, apartment or house. The prices vary depending upon the type of housing; $400-$700 for a studio; $500-$800 for a single bedroom apartment and $600-$1100 for a two bedroom apartment. You may have to pay extra for utilities such as electricity, internet, cable, etc.

Lawrence has a wide variety of hotels and motels, rates can vary greatly. Mention that you are a new KU International student and you may receive a discount.
