What does she do at ISS?

Emily advises international students on immigration regulations and policies. She also coordinates checking in new students and presents trainings on immigration related matters for students, faculty, and staff.

Who is Emily?

Emily grew up in Kansas City and after studying abroad in high school and college she wanted to help other students gain meaningful international experiences.  She has been working at KU since 2008 and continues to enjoy the challenges associated with it. Prior to working at KU Emily interned in the Public Policy division at NAFSA: Association of International Educators’ headquarters.  Emily also worked in the Center for International Academic Programs at the University of Missouri-Kansas City before moving to DC for graduate school. When not advising international students at KU Emily enjoys spending time with her family and going for runs with her dog Gunther.

Emily went to the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia as a student-athlete ambassador..!
