What does she do at ISS?

Lynne oversees our Federal reporting requirements to assure KU properly reports required information such as changes in major, full-time registration in classes; transfers from one school to another, etc. She also does immigration advising so she helps answer questions and process paperwork for anything relating to one’s legal status while in the U.S. (for example: I-20 and DS-2019 extensions; off-campus work permissions; reduced course loads). 

Who is Lynne?

She has been in international education for over 20 years.  She started her career at Arkansas Tech University where she was in a one-person international student office for five years.  In 1996 she was hired by International Student Services at the University of Kansas as Assistant Director.  She now serves as the Associate Director and SEVIS Coordinator.  She primarily does immigration advising and oversees our Federal reporting requirements for SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System).  She has 3 teenage children who share a passion for traveling with her.  She has traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe (17 countries), Mexico and South Africa.  She spent some time in France through a high school exchange program and has a minor in French.  She also studied Spanish although she is not yet fluent.  In her free time she enjoys hiking, bicycling, cooking and dancing.

She has bungee jumped out of a hot air balloon.
